Alana De La Garza, an amazing actress, has made a lasting impression in the film industry. Her parents are from Ireland and Mexico. The actress was born in Columbus, Ohio, on December 26, 1976. Her move to Texas to pursue an occupation as an Occupational Therapist at the University of Texas. De La Garza moved from Texas to Orlando Florida and took on different roles as an actor in independent local film as well as international commercials. Her passion for acting quickly grew for the art of acting, despite small roles. In 2001, she moved to New York where her first part was in All My Children's morning soap as Rosa Santos. In the beginning of 2000, she had small parts in JAG Las Vegas and Two and a Half Men. In 2004, her debut major show was The Mountain. The character was Maria Serrano and De La Garza had the privilege to be a part of a cast that included some of the best TV actors including Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Anson Mount and Mitch Pileggi. The most memorable part of her career came in 2006 on Law & Order where she appeared as A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa. The actress was on the show for 85 episodes. Her next role was on the brief-lived spin-off Law & Order: LA. De La Garza has been recognized several times for her role, among them Best Supporting Actress in Television at the Imagen Foundation Awards. She won an Impact Award in 2008 for her performance that stood out on the dramatic TV series of National Hispanic Media Coalition. De La Garza, in a recurring cast role in CSI Miami was announced a moment or two after. She played Marisol Deko as well as the wife of David Caruso's character Horatio. She was her character, Dr. Lena Solis in NBC's dramatic dark series Do No Harm. After just two episodes, the show was cancelled.
