Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American-British musician and sitarist. She is also the very first and youngest female to be awarded a British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She's a daughter of Ravi Shankar and a former student. Her birthplace was in London in 1982 and was a young girl who travelled between London as well as New Delhi. Her debut concert was on stage in New Delhi at the tender age of thirteen. After that, she relocated to Encinitas CA, where she obtained her High School diploma with honors in the year 1999. Anouskha even though she is just a teenager, has had an impressive recording and performing career. She has been accompanying her father in the stage for a long time. In 1998 she released her debut solo album Anourag. She released Live at Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album a year later. Her stage career is very extensive for she has been in every one of the world's major venues. Anoushka isn't just a musician.
